(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The protest organised by the Million Women Rise coalition is the fifth of its kind and will take place in central London.
"Nothing has changed since our first march in 2008,” activist Nina Kelly told the Morning Star newspaper.
"If anything, things are getting worse as existing services such as rape crisis and refuge centres are being decimated and pulled apart by this government's funding cuts.”
"Ministers need to put their money where their mouth is and protect existing crisis centres if they are serious about tackling domestic violence”, Kelly said.
"The previous Labour government put in place a strategy to address the problem but it is not properly resourced or implemented now”, she added.
